The exhibition centers on the synergy between Art, Design and Fashion
ANEST COLLECTIVE presents an intimate showcase
Cabinet of Curiosities ACT I PROTEUS amidst
the bustling currents of MIART and Salone del Mobile.
Featured in this exhibition is a curated selection of pieces from
ANEST COLLECTIVE’s capsule collection.
More than just garments, they are individual stories of artistry and intention.
Transforming the body into sculptures, presenting one breathtaking
piece after another. The ankle-length dress is reminiscent of
the Sculpture of Mary Magdalene crafted by Gregor Erhart,
while the Chesterfield-inspired reliefembroidery intertwines
delicate textures with the model's graceful posture...
Each eternal piece is a preious memory encapsulated in time.

TIME & THE PRECIOUS
The collection takes its inspiration from the concept of TIME & THE PRECIOUS.
Both notions are represented in 14th & 15th century English portraiture
from the Tudor period, where both female and male portraits
were adorned with symbols that conveyed the subject’s 'purpose,
theme, thought and meaning'.
Often requiring knowledge of foreign languages, classical
and Biblical sources, the properties of stones, plants, animals or objects –
and an intimate knowledge of the owner's own circumstances or philosophy –
an emblem or device offered a direct insight into the sitter's mind,
if the viewer could decode it.

ACT I PROTEUS
The research for the Wunderkammer of the GDLHM Artistic Director stems
from ANEST COLLECTIVE’s collection ACT I Proteus, which takes inspiration
from Tudor Style and the timeless history of Applied Arts.
Interpretation key: the PRECIOUS as the value of the essence of
Matter and Nature, seen as Origin and not as Mimesis.
